Used to place a point element at the approximate center of an area. A point element is either a text node, a cell, or a zero length line. When placing text nodes, make sure that text node display is enabled in the graphic view being used to obtain visual verification of placement.

Selecting the Create Centroids tool opens the Create Centroids tool settings window.
